Eight players of the Super Falcons have arrived in Lome, Togo, to kick off preparations for their 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifying match against Benin Republic.
The early arrivals are currently lodged at Hotel Sarakawa, where the team will begin training for the crucial fixture.
Among those already in camp are team captain Asisat Oshoala, Taiwo Afolabi, Folashade Ijamilusi, Miracle Usani, Joy Omewa, Aderline Mgbechi, Blessing Illivieda, and Kafayat Mafisere.
Notably, Joy Omewa has received her first senior national team call-up, marking a significant milestone in her career.
More players, including those based overseas, are expected to join in the coming days as head coach Justin Madugu works to finalize his squad.
The Super Falcons will face Benin Republic later this month as they begin their journey toward securing a spot at the 2026 WAFCON.
