Strategic partnership aims to strengthen African sports storytelling, business opportunities and economic value across the continent
ABUJA, Nigeria — September 27, 2026 — Blaqsport has entered into a strategic partnership with AfriWallStreet, Africa’s people, business and investment community, to launch a new initiative focused on “Realizing the African Sports Narrative.”
The partnership brings together sports media, storytelling, business and investment with a shared ambition: to strengthen how African sports stories are told, developed and connected to economic opportunities.
For decades, African athletes have made significant contributions to global sport, while much of the storytelling, data infrastructure and commercial value surrounding African sport has been developed outside the continent. 
Through this partnership, Blaqsport and AfriWallStreet intend to explore ways of helping build a stronger ecosystem around African sport — one that connects stories and talent with businesses, investors, sponsors, fans and wider professional opportunities.
A Partnership Built Around Storytelling and Opportunity
The collaboration will focus on three key areas:
1. African Sports Storytelling & Content
Blaqsport and AfriWallStreet will explore the co-production of premium sports content, including documentaries, original series, data-driven editorial projects and podcast programming.
The objective is to provide greater visibility for African leagues, athletes, emerging talents and the people working behind the scenes across the continent’s sporting ecosystem.
The partnership will also build on the Blaqsport Podcast Network, using conversations and storytelling to connect African sports experiences with a global audience.
2. Business, Investment & Commerce
AfriWallStreet’s community of professionals, businesses and investors will provide an avenue for connecting sports stakeholders with wider commercial opportunities.
This could include athletes, sports entrepreneurs, clubs, federations, media professionals and emerging businesses accessing networks around mentorship, sponsorship, investment and market opportunities.
The AfriWallStreet Store will also serve as a marketplace for licensed sports merchandise and African brands participating in the partnership ecosystem.
