Super Falcons defender Michelle Alozie has been shortlisted for the prestigious 2025 FIFPRO Women’s XI. Her nomination comes after a standout performance for Nigeria at the 2023 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations and an impressive season with Houston Dash in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).
Alozie played a crucial role in Nigeria’s semi-final win over South Africa, scoring the decisive goal and earning a spot in the Team of the Tournament. She also delivered consistently strong performances for Houston Dash throughout the season.
The 28-year-old right-back is one of eight defenders nominated, joining elite names like Ona Batlle, Millie Bright, Lucy Bronze, Olga Carmona, Ellie Carpenter, Alex Greenwood, and Leah Williamson.
