Former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh believes Wilfred Ndidi is best suited to lead the national team. According to Oliseh, the Besiktas midfielder commands strong respect among his teammates and is already seen as a leader.
“At the moment, I think nobody doubts the respect the players have for Ndidi. And he’s a player that plays every game,” Oliseh said on his Oliseh Insight Podcast.“I’m not trying to push for who is going to be captain, but I think Ndidi is already the captain anyway because he captained the last game.”
Oliseh, who previously chose Ahmed Musa over John Mikel Obi as captain, emphasized that leadership goes beyond wearing the armband or waiting for NFF instructions.
