Pep Guardiola’s name is reportedly emerging as a serious option for the Italy national team coaching position.
According to Sky Sport journalist Peppe Di Stefano, Paolo Maldini and Leonardo spent last weekend in Barcelona, where they reportedly met with the former Manchester City manager. Reports suggest discussions may have continued throughout the weekend, with initial clues coming from photos and sightings of Maldini and Leonardo in Spain before confirmation of the meeting emerged.
While there is currently no certainty that Guardiola will become Italy’s next head coach, the development is being viewed as a concrete step in exploring the possibility. The situation remains fluid, and further updates are expected in the coming weeks.
