Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi has completed a permanent transfer to Coventry City from Nottingham Forest.
The Nigerian forward leaves Forest after four years at the City Ground, where he scored 23 goals in 103 appearances across all competitions.
Awoniyi endured a difficult campaign last season, with fitness challenges limiting his playing time. The 29-year-old will now be aiming to rediscover his best form and secure a regular place in Coventry City’s squad.
The move also reunites him with fellow Nigeria international Frank Onyeka at the newly promoted Premier League club.
Speaking after completing the transfer, Awoniyi expressed his excitement about the new chapter in his career.
“I’m very happy to complete my move to Coventry City. I am very excited about this season, and I can’t wait to get started.”
