Ajibade Raises Alarm Over Super Falcons’ Preparation.

Super Falcons forward Rasheedat Ajibade has openly questioned the team’s level of preparation ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) and the push for World Cup qualification.

The Nigeria international stressed that the team is not only chasing continental success but also battling for a place on the global stage, insisting that the approach so far does not reflect the magnitude of that challenge.

“We are not just preparing for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, we are also fighting for World Cup qualification… so why are we not preparing with the seriousness and intensity this demands? Abeg, wetin be all this one — for how long?” Ajibade said.

The Super Falcons are expected to begin their build-up later this month with a double-header friendly against Cape Verde. However, Ajibade’s remarks have fueled conversations around the team’s readiness and general approach to the tasks ahead.

With both WAFCON glory and World Cup qualification on the line, focus now turns to how the technical crew and football authorities will address the concerns raised from within the squad.
