Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi has suffered a tragic loss following the death of his father in a car accident.
His club, Beşiktaş, confirmed the heartbreaking news on Tuesday, stating: “We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our footballer Wilfred Ndidi’s esteemed father, Sunday Ndidi, in a fatal traffic accident. May Allah grant mercy to the deceased; we extend our condolences to Wilfred Ndidi, his family, and loved ones.”
Ndidi, 29, joined the Turkish side last summer for over £10 million after spending eight years with Leicester City. The Nigerian international made more than 300 appearances for the Foxes, including 220 in the Premier League.
