Italian Serie A side Udinese has confirmed when Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye will join Nigeria for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Okoye, back as a regular starter after suspension, is part of Nigeria’s provisional squad announced by head coach Eric Chelle.
He will leave for international duty right after Udinese’s Serie A fixture against Napoli on December 14, following FIFA’s player release rules.
Udinese head coach Kosta Runjaic noted the club will soon be without several key players:“After Napoli, we’ll likely be without Rui Modesto, Okoye, Bayo, and Zemura. We’ve been preparing for this.”
