Egypt vs Nigeria Friendly Postponed to December 16 Ahead of AFCON.

The much-anticipated friendly between Egypt and Nigeria has been rescheduled to 16 December, according to EFA Vice President Khaled El-Darandaly.

Originally set for 14 December, the match was moved to ensure the availability of key stars like Mohamed Salah, Omar Marmoush, and Super Eagles players, as FIFA allows clubs to release players starting 15 December.

Both teams are gearing up for the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco (21 Dec – 18 Jan 2026). Egypt coach Hossam Hassan has already named a 28-man preliminary squad, with preparations starting in Cairo this week.
