Former Super Eagles captain Sunday Oliseh says he’s optimistic about Nigeria’s chances at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. However, he has a word of advice for head coach Eric Chelle—be more “stubborn.”
Nigeria will battle in Group C against Tanzania, Tunisia, and Uganda. The Eagles kick off their AFCON campaign on December 23 against Tanzania and wrap up the group stage against Uganda.
“I am very optimistic that the Super Eagles can do well at this tournament,” Oliseh said on his Oliseh Insight Podcast.“The first thing the manager has to do is grow a little bit stubborn, stand his ground, and show personality that he is responsible.”
