Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong has identified Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as Gabon’s biggest threat ahead of Thursday’s crucial World Cup playoff clash.
The Gabonese skipper has already netted 7 goals in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and is expected to lead the Panthers’ attack against Nigeria.
Troost-Ekong, emphasized the need for focus:
“Gabon is a strong team. Aubameyang leads from the front and creates real problems for defenders. I’ve faced him in Saudi Arabia and know what he’s capable of. In Africa, you can’t underestimate any team — and we won’t make that mistake with Gabon.”
