The Super Eagles of Nigeria have boycotted their scheduled training session in Morocco ahead of their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup playoff against Gabon.
Reports from the team’s camp indicate that both players and officials unanimously decided to halt training due to unresolved issues surrounding unpaid allowances and match bonuses.
The entire squad, including technical staff, is calling for the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to address these concerns and settle all outstanding payments before resuming preparations.
Despite the setback, the team remains focused on Thursday’s semi-final clash against Gabon in Rabat, with officials currently in talks with the NFF to resolve the matter swiftly.
Nigeria is aiming to reach the final of the African World Cup playoffs and move one step closer to qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
