Valencia CF is reportedly eyeing a move for Nigerian striker Umar Sadiq in the upcoming January transfer window.
Sadiq, currently with Real Sociedad, has seen limited action this season—playing just 92 minutes—amid growing preference for other forwards by head coach Sergio Francisco.
Valencia had previously attempted to sign Sadiq last summer but couldn’t finalize a deal, eventually opting for Lucas Beltrán, whose performances have fallen short of expectations.
Now looking to strengthen their attacking options, Valencia sees Sadiq as a potential solution, especially after his solid finish to last season, where he netted 6 goals in 19 appearances while on loan.
Although formal negotiations are yet to begin, both clubs reportedly view a loan deal as a viable option. Sadiq remains under contract with Real Sociedad until June 2028, and the club is keen to recover part of the €20 million invested in the player.
