Super Falcons to Play WAFU B Tournament Ahead of 2026 WAFCON.

Nigeria’s Super Falcons will take part in the WAFU B Four‑Nation Tournament as part of their preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.

The Nigeria Football Federation confirmed that the tournament will be held in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, from 27 February to 7 March 2026, serving as a build‑up to the continental championship scheduled for 17 March to 3 April.

NFF Director of Competitions, Ruth David, said the reigning African champions have accepted the invitation from WAFU B. The event will feature four West African teams that have qualified for WAFCON 2026: Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal.

David noted that the mini‑tournament aims to provide valuable match practice ahead of the finals. She added that Nigeria has formally confirmed its participation, and further details — including the squad list — will be released soon.

She stated that the players submitted by head coach Justin Madugu have already been forwarded to the NFF technical department and will be announced through the appropriate channels in the coming days.
