Fulham came close to pulling off a stunning comeback at Craven Cottage but fell 5-4 to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in a thrilling Premier League clash.
The Whites were 5-1 down at one point, yet fought back with three goals to make it a tense finish. Chukwueze came off the bench to score twice and nearly snatch a point for Marco Silva’s side.
Reflecting on the game, Chukwueze told the club’s official website:“The chances we created in the second half were almost there. It was a difficult one to take because we wanted three wins in a row and it didn’t happen, but we’ll keep our heads up. We fought until the last minute and on Sunday against Crystal Palace we’re going to give everything for the fans.”
Despite the loss, Fulham’s spirited display will give fans plenty of hope for the next fixture.
