The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) held a high-level meeting on Monday, November 24, 2025, to address ongoing disputes with the Super Falcons and prevent further protests.
The team has long raised concerns over unpaid bonuses and allowances, an issue that led them to file a complaint with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ahead of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. That action prompted the NFF to begin clearing outstanding payments—a process still ongoing in 2025.
According to a senior NFF official, more than 80% of the arrears have been settled, but the players are demanding full payment and a CAS ruling that would guarantee timely entitlements for all national teams in the future.
“The players want a lasting solution, not temporary fixes,” the official said, noting that structural guarantees are key to ending these disputes.
The 10-time African champions have warned they will not honor any match unless the remaining debts are cleared. The NFF is expected to continue discussions in the coming days to reach a resolution that ensures transparency and accountability.
