Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta says he’s keeping his emotions in check after the Gunners opened a seven‑point lead at the top of the Premier League.
A narrow 1–0 win over Brighton, combined with Manchester City’s 2–2 draw against Nottingham Forest at the Etihad, widened the gap. Bukayo Saka, captaining Arsenal at the Amex, delivered the decisive goal early in the first half.
Speaking to TNT Sports, Arteta said the match was “a really difficult one after everything we’ve been through in the last few weeks,” praising his players for putting in “astronomical” effort.
On the growing lead over City, he added: “We did what we had to do and that is what we will continue to do.”
