Ahmet Çakar on Victor Osimhen: “Unusual but Highly Professional”

Former Turkish referee Ahmet Çakar has shared strong views on Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, praising his work ethic and commitment during his time with Galatasaray.

“Osimhen is a very strange kid. I don’t know him personally, but from watching his matches, his professional dedication and ethics are perhaps number one at Galatasaray,” Çakar said.

He highlighted Osimhen’s intensity and leadership on the pitch:

“He doesn’t accept things passively. He shouts at teammates, never slacks off, returns to Türkiye when his job is done, and never misses his flight.”

Even when goals don’t come, Çakar admires his fighting spirit:

“He’s a player with very high professional ethics. Even if he doesn’t score, I take my hat off to the fight he shows.”

However, he issued a warning about the striker’s fiery nature:

“Don’t push Osimhen to the breaking point. I can’t predict what he’ll do when he loses his temper. That’s how he broke away from Napoli in the first place.”

Osimhen remains one of Europe’s most talked-about African strikers, admired for his passion, aggression, and relentless approach to the game.
