Everton manager David Moyes believes his side could have done more to see out the game in their dramatic 3–3 draw with Manchester City yesterday.
City went into halftime with a 1–0 lead after Jeremy Doku produced a brilliant left‑footed curling effort. The game turned in the second half when Moyes introduced Thierno Barry, who made an instant impact with a brace. Jake O’Brien also rose highest to head home, putting Everton 3–1 up.
A lapse in concentration soon followed. Straight from the restart, Nico González played Erling Haaland through on goal, and the striker calmly chipped the goalkeeper to make it 3–2.
Everton fought to hold on, but City had the final say deep into stoppage time. Once again, Doku delivered, scoring a stunning right‑footed goal in the sixth minute of added time to rescue a point.
The draw could have serious implications in the Premier League title race, as Arsenal remain top — even if City win their next match.
