Inter Milan Exit Champions League: Chivu Reflects on Defeat to Bodo Glimt.

Inter Milan manager Cristian Chivu shared his thoughts after his side was eliminated from the UEFA Champions League by Norwegian team Bodo/Glimt. The Norwegians won 2-1 at San Siro in the second leg of the Round of 16 playoff on Tuesday, advancing 5-2 on aggregate following their 3-1 victory in the first leg.

In his post-match comments to journalists, Chivu acknowledged that Inter struggled to maintain intensity and conceded two goals in the second half.

“We tried every possible way against a team that was well-organized in a low block, with ten players behind the ball. We couldn’t break them down, and they found a mental comfort zone,” Chivu said.

“I have nothing to reproach the players for – they gave everything with the energy they had, though the opponents had more, especially in the second half. In the second half we lost energy and conceded the goals. Congratulations to Bodo/Glimt – they deserved to progress.”

A tough night for the Nerazzurri, but credit to Bodo Glimt for a strong performance and historic advancement.
