Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has shared what he expects Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman to bring to the team following his move to the Spanish side.
Lookman, who officially joined the Madrid club on Monday, took part in his first training session on Tuesday and quickly impressed the technical crew.
Simeone expressed confidence in the former Atalanta winger’s ability to make an impact at the Wanda Metropolitano. 
“He joined the group very quickly, and you could immediately notice his physical strength, his speed, his ability to change the play, and his power in the final third,” Simeone said.
“We hope he can help us in the way he believes he can, and in the way we expect. And obviously, that important partnerships are formed for the good of the team, because that’s what it’s about: bringing good players together.”
The coach also highlighted that Lookman’s versatility and attacking qualities will be crucial as Atletico aims to strengthen the squad for the rest of the La Liga season and upcoming competitions.
