Ghanaian referee Daniel Laryea has been appointed by CAF to handle the CAF Confederation Cup Group D clash between Kaizer Chiefs and Al Masry.
He will work alongside fellow Ghanaians Roland Adie and Paul Kodzo as assistant referees, while Charles Bulu has been assigned as the fourth official.
The fixture is part of the fifth round of the group stage, with both Kaizer Chiefs and Al Masry level on points as the battle for qualification tightens. Kaizer Chiefs currently sit third in the group. The two sides last met on November 23, 2025, when Al Masry claimed a 2–1 victory.
Laryea brings plenty of experience into the game. He recently officiated the AFCON 2025 semifinal between Morocco and Nigeria, earning praise from the Ghana Football Association for his performance. He is also a FIFA‑trained VAR official, further strengthening his credentials for the assignment.
