Senegal FA president Abdoulaye Fall has accused CAF and host nation Morocco of having too much influence over the 2025 AFCON, following Senegal’s 1–0 win in Rabat.
Fall criticised several aspects of the tournament, including accommodation, training facilities, ticket allocation, security and refereeing decisions. He said the chaotic scenes in the final — where Senegal briefly walked off after a late penalty decision — reflected deeper issues.
He claimed Morocco holds “disproportionate control” within CAF and that Senegal had to intervene repeatedly to resolve organisational problems before the final. Fall also alleged Senegal received only three tickets and were informed of the referee just hours before kickoff.
The controversy grew after defender Ismail Jakobs suggested some Senegal players suffered suspected food poisoning ahead of the match.
CAF and the Moroccan FA have not yet responded to the allegations.
