Nigeria international Christantus Uche will remain at Crystal Palace until the end of the season, according to reports. The midfielder joined the Eagles on a season-long loan from Spanish side Getafe on deadline day but initially struggled to settle in London.
There were speculations about a possible January return to Getafe, but following his standout performance in Palace’s 2-1 win over Fulham last weekend, the club has decided to keep him until next summer.
With Uche not included in Nigeria’s squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, he is expected to play a key role for Oliver Glasner’s team during the busy festive period. The 22-year-old has made five league appearances so far.
