Raphael Onyedika is set to kick off Nigeria’s campaign against Tanzania on Dec 23 (18:30), followed by Tunisia (Dec 27) and Uganda (Dec 30) in the group stage. Brugge also confirmed Shandré Campbell will represent South Africa in Group B.
Although Nigeria’s final squad list is pending, Onyedika was named in the provisional 54-man roster. The Super Eagles open camp today ahead of a friendly vs Egypt on Dec 16.
Before joining the national team, Onyedika will feature in Brugge’s key fixtures: a UEFA Champions League clash vs Arsenal (Wed) and a league tie against Dender (Sun). Brugge currently sits 26th in the UCL standings with one point from four matches and is third in the Jupiler Pro League after recent domestic setbacks.
Onyedika, who has 1 goal in 2 UCL appearances, will look to maintain his composure and discipline as Brugge fights to revive its continental campaign.
