Victor Osimhen made his comeback on Monday night as Galatasaray were held to a 1–1 draw by city rivals Fenerbahce.
The Nigerian striker, back from a minor hamstring injury picked up during international duty last month, started the game under head coach Okan Buruk after missing two previous fixtures against Istanbul Başakşehir and Union Saint-Gilloise.
Osimhen faced tight marking from Fenerbahce’s defence led by captain Milan Škriniar. He received a booking in the 71st minute for a rash challenge and was substituted for Mauro Icardi just before full time.
Leroy Sané opened the scoring for Galatasaray in the 27th minute with a deflected strike, but substitute John Durán snatched an equaliser for Fenerbahce deep into stoppage time.
