Lazio has brought Super Eagles midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru back into their Serie A squad following Rovella’s injury. Rovella underwent surgery on Thursday for pubalgia and is expected to be sidelined for about 40 days.
Dele-Bashiru, previously dropped after the September 21 derby, has now fully recovered and returned to training this week. He’s set to feature in Sunday’s game and could also receive a call-up from Nigeria for the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, which would see him leave in December and return in January.
Lazio has used its second and final substitution for the season, with further changes only possible during the winter transfer window. After February, only goalkeeper swaps will be allowed.
