With this win, Nigeria’s medal tally now stands at 29 medals, including 10 Gold, 12 Silver, and 7 Bronze, across various events such as athletics, wrestling, and shot put.
Other standout performances of the night included Esther Kolawole’s dominant gold medal win in the Women’s Freestyle 62kg wrestling, while Damola Ojo and Oyesade Olatoye secured silver medals in the 76kg wrestling and Women’s Shot Put events, respectively.
