Liverpool star Mohamed Salah may miss Egypt’s upcoming friendly against Nigeria’s Super Eagles in Cairo on December 14, part of the Pharaohs’ preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The match is expected to be a high-profile warm-up, featuring top talents from both nations. However, Salah’s participation remains uncertain as he is reportedly set for crucial talks with the Egyptian FA regarding his international commitments.
Egypt’s head coach Hossam Hassan plans to include the 33-year-old in the national team’s training camp starting December 12. This could see Salah miss Liverpool’s Champions League clash with Inter Milan and a Premier League fixture against Brighton. 
According to the Daily Mail, Salah prefers to stay with Liverpool for those key matches before joining Egypt for AFCON. A similar arrangement in the past sparked mixed reactions among Egyptian fans.
Now, discussions between Salah, Hassan, and the Egyptian FA are expected to determine the final decision.
