Paris Saint‑Germain manager, Luis Enrique, has shared his thoughts ahead of the Champions League final against Arsenal, describing the fixture as another tough test for his side.
Speaking after PSG’s semi‑final success, Enrique praised Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta for the work he has done in north London and acknowledged their long‑standing relationship.
“I appreciate Mikelito Arteta! We used to be teammates when we were kids, he did a great job at Arsenal,” Enrique said.
The PSG boss expects a closely contested encounter against the Premier League side, who eliminated Atletico Madrid to reach the final, while PSG booked their place by stopping Bayern Munich.
Despite PSG’s past Champions League clashes with Arsenal, Enrique stressed that the final will be decided by intensity and belief.
“It will be a difficult, hard game but we believe in our football style.”
The comments underline Enrique’s respect for Arsenal while expressing confidence in PSG’s approach going into the final.
