The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is set to hold an intensive training camp for its elite referees in Cairo, Egypt, from March 4 to 8.
This five-day programme aims to sharpen the skills of match officials ahead of the decisive knockout rounds — including quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals — of the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup.
The camp will feature a mix of theoretical sessions, on-field practical drills, video analysis of critical match moments, and fitness evaluations to ensure referees maintain high standards of technical consistency, accurate decision-making, and effective game management.
As African club football enters its most intense phase, this initiative highlights CAF’s ongoing dedication to elevating officiating quality, promoting fairness, and upholding professionalism in its major tournaments.
