Galatasaray Vice President Abdullah Kavukcu recently spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport about the club’s big signing of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.
When Osimhen joined permanently last summer for a reported €75 million fee, many called it a risky or “crazy” investment.
Kavukcu explained: “When we bought him, a lot of people said it was a crazy investment.”
However, he emphasized that Osimhen has completely silenced those doubts with his outstanding performances on the pitch. The VP highlighted that the forward’s market value has since doubled, justifying every penny spent.
Kavukcu added: “Victor has proved everyone wrong because his value has doubled. We know he’s one of the best strikers in the world, and we’re excited to do big things together.”
Osimhen has quickly become a fan favorite at the Istanbul club, delivering key goals in both the Turkish Super Lig and European competitions. His impact was clear again in the recent UEFA Champions League clash against Juventus, where he played a decisive role in helping Galatasaray advance.
Osimhen continues to shine as one of Europe’s most lethal forwards while Galatasaray push for more silverware this season.
