Rangers technical adviser Fidelis Ilechukwu says the team is still firmly in the race for the NPFL title this season.
The Flying Antelopes climbed to third place after their 2-0 win over Kano Pillars, sitting just two points behind league leaders Rivers United.
Ilechukwu noted that the team is working to maintain balance between new and experienced players. He added that the club’s overall plan and structure will remain steady, even as young players are gradually introduced.
According to him, the new additions against Kano Pillars were necessary as some players needed rest. He also stressed that the team will continue working on missed chances and will improve with time.
“We have a plan and structure that won’t change because of the young players,” he told Puyaka. “No matter what happens, we take it in good faith. Rangers remain title contenders this season.”
