Nasarawa Amazons Coach Highlights Areas for Improvement After Opening Win.

Nasarawa Amazons head coach Christopher Danjuma has outlined key areas for improvement despite his team’s positive start to the 2025–26 Nigeria Women Football League season.

The Lafia-based side kicked off the campaign with a 2–1 victory over Delta Queens on Wednesday. Goals from Olushola Shobowale and Ayatsea Hembafan secured the win for last season’s runners-up, while Nora Davies scored for Delta Queens.

Danjuma praised the three points but stressed the need for better team cohesion and sharper attacking play ahead of two away fixtures.

“Starting well is important, but we have work to do. We need to blend the team better and focus on scoring. I expect at least four points from the next two games,” he told the club’s media.
