Charlton Athletic have reached an agreement to sign Super Eagles goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo on loan from Wrexham, according to reports.
The 24-year-old goalkeeper, who has one year remaining on his Wrexham contract, is set to become a free agent next summer.
Okonkwo established himself as Wrexham’s first-choice goalkeeper after joining the club from Arsenal in September 2023. However, he lost his starting spot towards the end of last season.
His chances of regular playing time were further affected following the arrival of Anthony Patterson from Sunderland in a club-record deal reportedly worth around £8 million.
Charlton Athletic reportedly beat fellow League One side Bolton Wanderers to secure Okonkwo’s signature.
