Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions Rangers International have reportedly reached an agreement with Remo Stars to use the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State, for their home matches in the preliminary rounds of the CAF Champions League.
The move comes as renovation and upgrade work continues at Rangers’ home ground, the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium (The Cathedral) in Enugu, with efforts focused on meeting the Confederation of African Football (CAF) requirements for continental competitions.
The temporary arrangement allows the Flying Antelopes to host their opening CAF Champions League fixtures at a CAF-approved venue while work on their home stadium progresses.
The Remo Stars Stadium has become one of Nigeria’s leading venues for continental football, thanks to its modern facilities, quality playing surface, and compliance with CAF standards. The stadium has hosted several CAF inter-club matches in recent years and is widely regarded as a reliable alternative for Nigerian clubs competing on the continent. 
Rangers secured their place in the Champions League after winning a record-extending ninth NPFL title and will be looking to make a strong impression in Africa’s elite club competition. Club officials remain hopeful that the renovation of the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium will be completed in time for the later stages of the tournament if the Enugu side progresses beyond the preliminary rounds.
The temporary relocation is seen as a practical solution that enables Rangers to focus fully on their continental campaign while avoiding uncertainties surrounding venue approval.
CAF is expected to confirm preliminary-round fixture dates in the coming weeks, with Rangers set to begin their continental quest from Ikenne.
