Bayern Munich captain and goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has pointed to a lack of clinical edge as the decisive factor in the club’s Champions League elimination on Wednesday.
Reacting after the 1–1 draw with Paris Saint-Germain at the Allianz Arena, Neuer admitted Bayern fell short in key attacking moments, allowing the French champions to progress 6–5 on aggregate to the final.
“We didn’t have that killer instinct in attack tonight,” Neuer said post‑match.
Despite limited clear-cut chances, the veteran keeper felt Bayern had enough control and opportunity to change the tie.
“We had the chance to win the game and were very close to the final, but we couldn’t get over the line,” he added.
“If we score in a key moment, it’s a different story. Unfortunately, our goal came too late.”
Goals from Ousmane Dembélé and Harry Kane sealed the draw on the night, but it was PSG who emerged with the aggregate advantage and a place in the final.
