Plateau United’s technical adviser, Oluwasola Adegun, has acknowledged the team’s challenges in away fixtures this season. The Peace Boys have yet to secure a win on the road in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
On Sunday, Plateau United fell 2-0 to Kun Khalifat FC in Owerri during matchday 15. Adegun admitted the second goal was the turning point in the game.
“The second goal changed the colour of the game against Kun Khalifat FC,” he said in a post-match interview.“For away games, we’re nowhere near where we need to be. The players must be willing to sacrifice more and work harder.”
Plateau United currently sit in 15th position on the NPFL table.
