FC Porto started their UEFA Europa League journey on a positive note, securing a 1-0 victory against Austrian side RB Salzburg on Thursday night.
The Portuguese club displayed determination throughout the match, with the winning goal coming in the second half to seal a hard-earned three points.
However, the night wasn’t without concern. Nigerian international Zaidu Sanusi was forced off in the 52nd minute due to injury. The left-back had been impressive before the setback, and his early substitution has raised questions about his availability for upcoming fixtures. 
Porto will now turn their attention to domestic competitions while monitoring Sanusi’s recovery ahead of the next round of European action.
