Kelly Ufodiama Clocks 22.61s in 200m at NCAA Championships

In the Age of Information, news media faces both unprecedented opportunities and significant challenges.

Oregon, USA – Rising sprint talent Kelly Ufodiama continued her impressive season with a time of 22.61s (+0.7 m/s) in the women’s 200m at the NCAA Championships.

The 19-year-old recently completed a switch of allegiance from the United States to Nigeria, and she’s already making waves on the international stage. Ufodiama holds personal bests of 11.15s in the 100m and 22.54s in the 200m, the latter achieved at the NCAA East Prelims in Florida. That performance not only marked a career best but also met the World Championships qualification standard.

Her 22.54s currently ranks her as the second-fastest U20 athlete in the world this year over 200m.
