As the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League season approaches, Kano Pillars have announced new additions to their squad.
Aliyu Umar, formerly of Niger Tornadoes FC, has signed a two-year deal with the club following a standout performance at a pre-season tournament. He scored four goals—including a hat-trick against Cynosure FC—and finished as the tournament’s top scorer.
Olakunle Alaka, a former Akwa United midfielder, also joins the team on a two-year contract to reinforce the midfield.
Under head coach Evans Ogenyi, the team is currently training at the Sani Abacha Stadium in preparation for the new NPFL season.
