Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has announced a reward of ₦5 million and a plot of land for each player of Kwara United Football Club following their historic triumph at the 2025 President’s Federation Cup! This victory marks the state’s return to continental football after 49 years and secures their place in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The governor commended the club’s management, the Kwara State Sports Commission, and the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria for their dedication to developing grassroots talent. He also acknowledged the supporters who traveled to Lagos to cheer the team during the final.
In a show of appreciation, Governor AbdulRazaq and Ambassador Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki-Gambari jointly donated ₦1.5 million to Mrs. Oluwatoyin Oluwapanmile Abdullahi, a super fan whose photo supporting Kwara United went viral on social media.
