Nigeria U20 captain Daniel Bameyi has signed a 3-year deal with Slovenian top-tier side ND Primorje Ajdovščina, joining from Yum-Yum FC Abuja.
The transfer was sealed just an hour before the Slovenian window closed on Sunday, 7 September 2025. Bameyi, who impressed during his loan at Bayelsa United and led the Flying Eagles to a third-place finish at the CAF U20 AFCON, is widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s brightest defensive prospects.
ND Primorje President Bojan Adžić and Head Coach Milan Anđelković both praised the signing, citing Bameyi’s work ethic, professionalism, and tactical intelligence as key assets for the club’s defensive rebuild.
The move marks a major step in Bameyi’s career as he begins his European football journey.
