In a surprising move, Ahmed Musa, the newly appointed General Manager of Kano Pillars, has announced that he will continue to play for the team in the upcoming 2025/26 season. The 32-year-old former Leicester City player officially took on the GM role on Monday and was spotted training with the team at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Tuesday.
Musa’s dual role will see him leading the team’s attack on the pitch while overseeing administrative duties off the field. The decision comes as Kano Pillars is yet to appoint a substantive technical adviser following the exit of Usman Abdallah.
