Newly crowned Italian Champions Napoli are very close to signing Man City legend Kevin De Bruyne. The belgian midfielder is set to leave the blue side of Manchester at the end of this season after what has been a difficult season for Pep Guardiola and his boys. His imminent arrival at Naples has however raised questions as to the future of current Serie A MVP Scott McTominay. The Scottish International registered twelve goals and four assists for Napoli this season and was integral to their successful title charge this season. He did this playing from the left side of midfield, an area that happens to be kevin De Bruyne’s favoured position. Should Napoli succeed in bringing De Bruyne in, questions must be asked as to how it would affect McTominay, his role in the squad and the amount of minutes he gets to play.
Will Napoli bench their MVP or will De Bruyne spend next season playing second fiddle to Scott McTominay? Let us know what you think.
